Another service essential for successful implementation is designing, developing, and delivering a workshop to train client employees on how to use a solution—as well as, perhaps, managing change and various implementation strategies. Training requirements abound, as employees may have to learn a new software application, certain behavioral skills, their role in a business strategy, how to conduct a performance review or ensure compliance with new laws, or the features and benefits of a new product. To convey the requisite knowledge and skills, we need to deliver what Microsoft Consulting Services calls a “capabilities” or skills transfer event.
