Chapter 3 Getting The Job Done
At this point you hopefully understand what your project is and more importantly why you’re doing it. So what next? We’re going to look at the next three phases of the project life cycle that we discussed in Chapter 1: Planning, Executing, and Controlling. These phases form a loop, which we go through repeatedly until the project closes.

Planning is arguably the most important phase of your project. Skimp here and you’ll suffer later. But if you invest in planning, the entire project will run much more smoothly.
