Creating sustainable win–win situations
Abstract:
The private sector has an important role to play in poverty reduction. Business transactions are voluntary in nature and therefore are likely to result in win–win situations for all parties involved. Lessons concerning poverty reduction and wealth creation from various parts of the world are examined, and recommendations for both the public and private sectors are made. In addition, non-financial benefits of the private sector and voluntary business transactions are identified.
