CHAPTER 10Theatre
There are a large variety of theatrical producing organizations in the United States. For the purposes of this chapter, we will focus specifically on regional theatre, Broadway, and summer stock. There a quite a few differences between these three types of theatres, but the goals of the production manager are the same – produce the show on time, on budget, safely and, in the end, make sure everyone is still speaking to each other. Production managers are also integral to supporting and carrying out the mission of the organization and are valuable parts of the theatrical community.
