3 Scrum Is Not Enough

The Scrum Guide describes the Scrum Framework, its elements, and the rules that bind them together. It describes the foundation of Scrum and what it provides to help teams solve complex adaptive problems. It does not talk about concrete practices that teams should use when they apply Scrum. The Scrum Team’s job is to find those practices that best help them and to apply them to deliver “Done” Increments.

Scrum Teams usually focus on their immediate next steps: their next task, their next event, and their next Sprint. This is good; focus helps them to finish work they have started and concentrate on what they want to achieve. Yet it sometimes narrows their view too much, and they lose sight of their greater goals.
