Evaluating Project Managers
As with any employee, you will want to ensure that your project managers are evaluated. Whether or not your company has a formal employee review process, you will need to define the criteria to be used for reviewing project managers' performance. Figure 7-1 is a sample project manager performance evaluation form. The ratings can be whatever your company uses, but if your company does not have a standard, evaluators can rate employees on a scale from 1 (excellent) to 5 (unsatisfactory). A rating of 3 indicates that the employee met expectations. The evaluation criteria are discussed in more detail in the following sections.
