Adopting a new project management approach

What is this about and why is it important?

The last section looked at the sources of enhancements to an organisation’s project management capability. This section builds on this, by discussing the challenges with implementing such enhancements.

This section is relevant in four situations: enhancing or updating an existing approach; implementing a standard project management approach where multiple approaches have previously been used; changing project management approach, for example from critical path to critical chain, or waterfall to agile; and implementing a formal project management approach for the first time.
