You must understand and be able to define the key terms used within your project. This must include a clear definition of your role as the project manager, a definition of the customer, and a common understanding of success for your project.
AN ASSUMPTION ABOUT READERS of this book is that you are not only interested in project management, but that you may already know something or even quite a lot about it.
