Updated camera tech has taken so much guesswork out of many of the more complex picture equations, it’s now “easier” than it has even been to take a leap of faith and fancy at the lens. Automated flashes and exposures systems sync with each other, talk their way through problems, and work it out automatically, all while we’re feverishly pushing the shutter button. The cameras solve so many problems for us, dramatically expanding the range of our imaginations and what’s possible at the lens. It’s a wonderful evolution. You couldn’t drag me kicking and screaming back to the world of 36-exposure canisters ...
