Remember When AWB Was a Band?

If you’re a younger photographer, you probably do not know what I’m talking about. But the Average White Band, or AWB, originating in Scotland, was huge in the ’70s, and they still perform. I bought a couple of their albums long ago. Their big hit, “Pick Up the Pieces,” was an R&B/soul standard. And it lives on! It was part of the Biden–Harris Official Inaugural Playlist.
