So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Can RegTech tools be like J.A.R.V.I.S. (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System), Tony Stark’s loyal companion? Or equip us to be godlike like Mjölnir (hammer) for the son of Odin, Thor? Slick gears and intelligent equipment can transform a mere mortal into Batman to save Gotham and fight off crime. It does make one wonder if only the quintessential solutions are able to contribute positive impact, save people’s lives, and help one another on a larger scale or even change the world. Be it regulation tech or regulators’ tech, our focus will be geared towards the positive net effect of the use of RegTech towards humankind and society.
The Flavour of Prevention
The blue, red, green, orange, and purple icons circling on the Marine Traffic world map captured by satellites are able to reflect whether they are fishing or cargo vessels. Captains rely on marine radars, sonars, communication, and integrated systems to navigate the sea and storm to guide their ships and vessels safely to their destinations. Analysis, prediction of weather, detection of other vessels, and collection of data from the satellites are readily available to be put to good use by the captain and the team. The current advanced technology equips them to navigate with far more ease than the time at which the Titanic’s fate was sealed.
