Seeing as you are reading this book you are obviously interested in being a remixer. But what does that actually involve and how is it different from producing your own material? Well, in essence, the technical process is very similar for the most part. The technical skills you would use in working on a track of your own are all very much the same for working on a remix. Only a couple of tasks you would encounter on a remix are things that probably wouldn’t come up if you were working on your own material, but that’s about it. The biggest difference lies not in the technical side of things, but in the creative process.
