Remember to drain the swamp

When you’re up to your neck in alligators, it’s hard to remember that the object of the exercise was to drain the swamp. And when you’re up to your knees in nappies, it can be similarly hard to remember why you’re doing this. Especially when you haven’t slept properly in days, months – maybe years – and you have piles of unwashed laundry, unfinished homeworks, and generally unfeasible demands on your time and emotions.
