The great screenwriter and author William Goldman said there are three things you need to know about screenwriting—structure, structure and structure. His book Adventures in the Screen Trade is one of the most inspiring books about writing for the screen that I’ve read. And he was right—screenwriting is, first and foremost, all about structure.
