I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

When I first had the idea for this book, it was raw. Little did I know that I was attempting to boil the ocean. My wife, Bernice, kept me grounded, as did my kids. Without their strength, this book would not be here today.
David Anderson, Ward Cunningham, and Jim Newkirk were all instrumental in helping me and my first team get off the ground at Microsoft. Each of them worked there at the time and coached us through some rough periods. I still look back at my notes from an early session with Ward, with a question highlighted that read, “Can’t we just skip TDD?” Each of these three people helped turn our team of misfits into something that was really special.
