This book has focused on describing some of the core ideas and technologies behind Service-Oriented Architecture. However, often the best way to explain a concept is to give concrete examples. Thus, this appendix aims to provide some generic example services to demonstrate some core ideas about SOA. To those readers who are raring to build their own SOA infrastructures, the caveat is this: these examples are not intended to be complete pictures of everything these business services may need to do in an enterprise.
