I have tried to stress the importance of safety throughout this text, but now that we have arrived at the moment of truth—the management of the production phase—it is worth underscoring how important it is to take precautions to ensure the safety of everyone on your set.

Running a safe production largely comes down to exercising forethought, judgment and common sense. Here are some basic principles to follow:
