“So, what exactly do you do all day?” My oldest brother Alan leaned across the table. I had just told him about my decision to quit my full-time job and take up a drastically different lifestyle. Aside from family farmers, I was the first self-employed person in my family. As I described how I now filled my days with a new mix of personal life and professional work, I could see his face change from a look of incredulity to a look of curiosity and interest. “That sounds awesome!” he said. “I wonder if I could do that?”
