I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
7. Technical Practices
What is the real business value of certain technical practices? Why should I, as a project manager or product owner, care about technical practices? As a developer, why should I care about Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, and all these other Extreme Programming (XP) practices? I’ve been developing software for a long time and never needed them.
This chapter addresses all these questions and gives you more ammunition to convince your peers and managers to adopt certain technical practices, or at least review the value of the ones you currently use.
