Preparing to Conduct Stay Interviews

As I wrote in the previous chapter, the best way to ensure that you conduct a successful stay interview is to prepare beforehand. You can’t just wing it and see what happens. That might even be counterproductive because it suggests to your employees that you have better things to do, you don’t care about the outcomes, and you have little regard for them. What a way to turn a potential win into a huge loss.
This chapter will urge you to execute every pre-meeting step so that you come out of the meeting with a greater relationship with and commitment from your employee.
