The scope of IT Strategy, introduced in Chapter One, has three fundamental components that must be considered by organizations when applying strategic thinking (see Figure 4.1). In Chapter Three we discussed the first component or inner circle; the Information Technology asset (IT asset). For the organization to achieve effective leverage of IT it must develop IT asset strategies.
