7The Five EmPOWERments Model

An Overview of the Model

Companies today are intrigued by Web3, the metaverse and AI. In fact, we see companies bifurcating. They are dividing into those who are boldly in and those who are scared. We've seen bold moves in Web3, the metaverse and AI from companies like Starbucks, Nike, Prada, and IKEA.

You are either in or you're out—and forward‐looking people will be drawn to the companies that can fully articulate their plans and vision for building in Web3, the metaverse and AI.

But before you begin to approach the space, there are five critical things that we saw from V and her team that can create a great plan for experimentation, matching to your brand and customers, and eventually driving a customer experience strategy.

While you are working on emerging technology, there will be a lot of pressure to conform to the old ways of doing things. This new approach must be able to withstand the stress and pressure that will surely come upon the mission.

Dividing the triangle up into five pieces forms these emPOWERments (see Figure 7.1). This word was chosen due to its definition. ...
