Organizations are often more concerned about results and less about learning, but Toyota sees learning as a prerequisite instead of a nicety. In managing results, most organizations have adopted the PowerPoint type of presentation method to communicate ideas, plans, report on progress, and sometimes reflect. Some have a standard format, while others let people build their own. Toyota favors a single piece of paper, 11×17 A3 size, or smaller, depending on the country. The medium is one aspect; more important is the purpose behind the method and the format to ensure that learning leads to results and results in more learning.
