Early Days at Toyota
My first day at work at Toyota was August 1, 1988. I still remember it as if it were yesterday, and I often share my recollections of those memorable first moments when people in our sessions ask, “What was it like?”
In the weeks leading up to that day, I had occasionally seen people in the Lexington area wearing red “Team Toyota” T-shirts. I loved the idea that they were identified as “team” members and wondered if I too would be given one of those coveted T-shirts on day one.
