The ideas about transformation offered in this book themselves grew out of an unexpectedly transformational process. They emerged from an inquiry and curiosity about leaders—at all levels—who have an appetite for, and skill at, helping organizations turn corners toward a more vibrant future. This natural and emergent process changed shape and focus as it evolved, and no doubt also changed many of us who were involved in it. We invite the reader to join us on that extraordinary journey.
