Sweating by the Numbers
Alex Dideon had started D&D Executive Search, Steph’s employer, more than 15 years ago with a Wharton Business School classmate and friend, Frank Dottson, who left the firm after the first five years to start his own solo executive search firm. Alex retained the D&D working name because the brand had become so powerful. At 5’6”, Alex stood several inches below Steph when she wore heels, which she rarely did anymore.
“Look at these numbers!” Alex said as he stabbed his right index finger at the net figure for the month.
“Yeah, I know, but I…” Steph tried to respond but Alex interrupted her.
