As a young consultant I was working for a client where we were assigned to reengineer some of its procurement processes. In the middle of our design phase, I set up a meeting with six key managers to review some of the important design changes we were looking to implement. I received positive responses from all the managers, and a couple of them asked if they could bring a lieutenant to the meeting. I didn't see much harm in letting a couple additional people attend.
