Every television series is about a family – whether they’re related by blood or not. Some series are literally about a family: Succession, Schitt’s Creek, Black-ish, The Chi, Ozark, Modern Family, This Is Us, The Crown, and, of course, Game of Thrones. Some focus on a workplace “family”: The Office, Black Monday, Ted Lasso, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Grey’s Anatomy, The Good Doctor, The Good Fight; while others focus on a family of friends: Friends, I May Destroy You, The Good Place, Insecure, Community. There are also hybrids that overlap, such as PEN15, Atlanta, Better Call Saul, Babylon Berlin, Friday Night Nights, and Pose.
