Imagine yourself as a child on a typical long, hot, partly cloudy summer day. You are in the prairie land of Kansas. Between you and the endless horizon are golden, shiny fields of wheat that reaches your shoulders. The day is a scorcher. In the distance are towering, puffy cloud columns that, over time, blanket the afternoon sun. You suddenly feel a cool breeze in the air, followed by a blackening of the sky.
