Chapter 29. Playing Your Portable Music in the Living Room
I don’t want to sound like a total snob about digital music. While audiophiles argue about the DAC performance and what file format is best for digital music playback, an equal if not greater number of people are content to store their music libraries on their portable music players and smartphones (re: iPods and iPhones), at a lower (but still acceptable) bitrate. Not everyone has the same amount of gold in their ears, and iPod/iPhone playback is just fine for a lot of folks.
