CHAPTER 20TEN VIDEO SALES MESSAGE SCRIPTS

It's worth noting that the video scripts here can work as audio scripts as well and vice versa. The only two differences between them are that with video, you can record up to two minutes, whereas with audio, you can only record 60 seconds—and with video, they can see you!

One of the most important components of an effective video message is to ensure you're looking at the camera and keep strong eye contact (not in a creepy way) and be aware of your body language as well. Your body should face the camera and if you speak with your hands, do that; let them see your passion and energy for what you do.

A few things to consider before recording:

  • Your background – Think about what is behind you when you record, and make sure it is tidy and professional.
  • Audio & lighting – If you're doing video from your laptop, consider external lighting and a microphone for better quality.
  • What you wear – You should be dressed the same way that you would if you were meeting them in person.
