Writing a book about things that have almost never been written about in the land of fiction is almost harder than anything I’ve ever attempted in nonfiction. And yet more insightful and rewarding than I could have ever imagined.

I’ve had many of the problems addressed in this book, but no place to go to find the answers. So, my writing partner Kathy Wisniewski and I often talked on the phone or texted or IMed—for hours at a time—not only about the idea of this book, but about much of what went inside it too. The real, practical, tactical problems we were facing and trying to solve became something we worked on together to make our virtual management lives a little better.
