Why work matters

All of us worry about something a lot of the time but, in particular, occupational anxiety – getting a job that is suited to one’s talents and holding it down and occasionally achieving promotion – is an important part of the human story for just about everyone. That’s partly because of the ‘work ethic’, which is widely understood and is related to the contribution any individual makes to society. But it’s also related to bringing in the income to pay for life’s necessities.
