CHAPTER 2Uncover Your Inner Obstacles: Which Mindtrap Is Holding You Back?
After meeting the horse trapped in his meadow by invisible fences, the child keeps walking through the forest, wondering where to find the path of roses. How can a small child who's never left home know the way? Impossible! the child thinks. It starts raining. Tired, he slumps on a tree stump. An old woman approaches.
“Are you waiting for someone?” she asks.
“I'm waiting for a princess on a horse,” says the child.
The old woman thinks for a few seconds. “There aren't many of those around here,” she says. “Why don't you wait inside my hut? You're getting all wet.”
The child agrees and follows her. Soon they reach the hut and step into a warm room. An old man sits by the crackling fire.
“Why are you waiting for a princess on a horse?” the old woman asks as she throws another log into the hearth.
“I am looking for the path of roses, and I cannot find it by myself.”
The old man looks up. “Why not?”
What a strange question, the child thinks. “I'm too small and too young, and I've never traveled far from my village. Also, I have a poor sense of direction. So I need someone to show me the way.”
The old man looks at the child more closely. “You are not so small, and you seem very clever to me,” he answers. “After all, you've found us!”
The child doesn't buy it. “But everybody knows that only princesses on horses know the way!”
