It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Despite being discontinued in 2003, the LEGO Radio Control (RC) system remains exceptional in many respects, most importantly in its motors’ high performance. Its strength makes it popular with builders who are not satisfied with the limitations of the Power Functions system. Constructions that rely on the RC system are still published on a regular basis, and the system’s components are still available on the second-hand market.
