Manage Feedback
The best managers will typically give you feedback clearly and frequently. Many managers, however, won’t do this at all. But just because your manager doesn’t say anything about your performance doesn’t mean they don’t have anything to say. They know what you need to do—to keep your job, get promoted, or turn your internship or temp position into a full-time role.
Given that your manager is the person who stands between where you are and where you want to go, it’s critical to know how they feel about your work and your future in the organization.
