Beyond Web Site and UI Designs

There are few limitations on what types of visual displays and materials can be tested using the five-second test. In addition to web page designs and individual design elements, the method can be used to test any type of visual design, regardless of whether it is in virtual or print form. Viable test subjects include displays for trade show booths and exhibits, printed collateral and advertisements, PowerPoint slides, ballots, and forms (online and paper).
