Confucius says, choose a work you love and you won’t have to work another day. Nevertheless, the thoughts of every worker touch upon retirement at some point.
Forget the money. This is not about retirement planning. Don’t worry about things to do. You didn’t get this far without the knack of invention. Getting philosophical about mortality is another wrong turn unless you are already into such things.
Contemplation of retirement does serve a purpose, however. The act informs one’s current management style and the cultivation of the personal brand. The right question is, what will I miss in retirement?
