Most of the following are not essential for the basic studio, but depending on the style of programmes and level of sophistication required they can significantly enhance programme presentation.

Floor monitors

At least one studio floor monitor, pluggable or switchable to any source, as well as studio output for presenters, floor managers etc., is essential. Often, presenters need to see incoming videotape to pace their introduction.
