POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, THE LAW, AND ETHICS
Policies, procedures, the law, and ethics are all important and interrelated concepts that a VPMO must address. VPMOs often operate in several different states or countries and possibly within different companies and entities, which means that they may be subject to—and trained in—various laws, policies, and procedures.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that compliance is not only a good idea, it is required. As the number of laws to which project organizations are subject continues to grow, it becomes even more essential for them to keep up with and understand those that affect them.
