The Cadet Leadership Development System at USMA recognizes that one of the developmental mandates of late adolescence and young adulthood is the search for a world-view. It is at this point in young people’s lives that they begin to question many of the assumptions they have held since childhood. An individual cadet who might have grown up going to church with her parents each week now has the opportunity to question the value of church attendance and the very assumptions upon which this behavior is based.
