How to create and construct basic patterns
Now that you have an idea of the basic construction procedures and know what type of costume will work best for your puppet, you can start to think about the patterns for your costume. There are several basic garment forms you can use as a starting point to create almost any type of costume imaginable for your puppet. These patterns are all included at the back of the book, with instructions on how to put them together in this chapter. As with the sewing techniques, the patterns will become familiar to you once you construct a few costumes.
