Introduction
Relational capital (RC) is an integral part of intellectual capital and a critical business asset in the knowledge economy (Edvinsson & Malone, 1997; Klein, 2009; Stewart, 1997; Subramaniam & Youndt, 2005). Relational capital can be defined as the volume of relations a company creates to connect stakeholders with the external environment (Freeman, 1984; Mitchell, Agle, & Wood, 1997), namely clients, suppliers, employees, universities, public organizations, and financial institutions, among others.
