Introduction

The relationships between work and other parts of life, also referred to as work-life management (WLM), have long been in the wellbeing research agenda. In 1980, Near, Rice and Hunt conducted studies on relations between two life domains, namely work and non-work, and their impact on work satisfaction and life satisfaction (Near, Rice, & Hunt, 1980; Rice, Near, & Hunt, 1980).
