Introduction

Entrepreneurship plays an important role in the economic growth of developing countries. Through entrepreneurial initiatives and innovations, women, in particular, are contributing significantly to the economy. The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) defines women entrepreneurs as individuals who attempt to create new ventures individually or as a team.
