It was 5 a.m. as Shawn pulled into the gated complex to pick up Patty. Since meeting in yoga class eight years earlier, they’d remained close friends, and he often filled in as her “airport chauffeur.”
Shawn lifted her two heavy bags into his truck.“You need all this for a three-day trip?”
Patty sleepily replied, “An entire suitcase is filled with my markers and supplies.” He shook his head and handed her the 27-page client report he had printed out because her printer was on the fritz. Report in hand, Patty shuffled to the passenger door and let herself in. 65
