The Team Performance Curve
Those kinds of comments are pretty hard to ignore. Obviously, the people in this company don’t think we’re a very cohesive team. I guess we don’t work together as well as we might. But I didn’t realize it was of that much concern to the rest of the organization. What should we do about it?

They had just finished listening to excerpts of taped interviews with more than one hundred employees who had been asked for their views about the progress of the company’s recently launched change effort. It was a major effort aimed at changing the behavior of literally thousands of people throughout the company.
