Digital media players like the Zune are fantastic devices with a great deal to offer, but without a standardized place to purchase music and other media content, the device can’t compete with the market leaders. Not to worry, Zune owners: Microsoft has Zune Marketplace, which contains millions of songs for immediate download.
Zune Marketplace is a unique animal in that it uses a point system instead of actual cash (although points are essentially the same thing). It also offers a special Zune Pass that allows you to download nearly any music you want for use on your Zune, with the caveat that you cannot transfer or burn that music to a CD or a hard drive.
