The title of this book, Theories of Team Cognition: Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives, hints at a broader agenda, one both rich with promise and fraught with potential troubles. Teamwork lies at the nexus of a variety of disciplinary interests. Cognitive and social psychology, organization science, human factors research, and communication studies, to name a few, all have scholarly interests related to the functioning of groups and teams.
