So the individuals have it. There is an I in teams. But teams have it too. Teams are driven to high performance, but only by virtue of the individuals within them. This conclusion is much less obvious than it sounds, for team leaders need to understand the idiosyncrasies, ambitions, and anxieties of those in their charge.
